Stop weeds early with a pre-emergent and a post-emergent weed treatment in January: Weeds are supposed to die off in the winter, but the truth is the Pacific Northwest just doesn’t get cold enough these days to kill them all off. Which means the strongest survive, and multiply come spring. You’ll need 2 treatments in January, which you can do at the same time.
